Walnuts and Omega 3

The great thing about walnuts is that it takes only 1/4 cup or one small handful to get 90% of your required Omega 3 essential fatty acids.

Omega 3s need to be eaten from foods and once consumed have an anti-inflammatory effect on the body - which is good news for those who are suffering from heart disease, Crohn's, arthritis, obesity or other inflammatory diseases.

They have also been linked to improving cholesterol levels, bone density, reducing risk or stoke and being good for the brain. I even think they look a little like a brain!

Isn't that a good enough reason to sprinkle some on your porridge or muesli or add some to your favourite salad! Great for both you and your family!
